The Sky Angel 911 can be worn in the shower or bath, and used in and around your home. No phone line is necessary to use this medical alert system. This no monthly fee concept uses the FCC's basic 911 rule requiring wireless service providers to transmit all 911 calls to an emergency call center regardless of whether or not the caller subscribes to the providers' service: (http://www.fcc.gov/guides/wireless-911-services). Sky Angel 911 FD will use any available cell tower. (Cell coverage is not available in all areas - this works similar to a cell phone). Please note that cellular personal emergency response systems do not provide 911 with an exact location. That feature is only available with land line based systems.
The fall detection is a built in accelerometer that detects
a downward movement when dropped from 3 feet or higher. Once it stops falling
the unit will wait 10 seconds and if no moment is detected it will begin
beeping for about 10 times. If the user does not move the unit or press the SOS
button it will automatically call 911.
The basic system is a one-time purchase that can be used anywhere cell phone service is available. Everything needed to use the Sky Angel 911 is included. The unit comes with a magnetic charging cable/block.(The docking station is an optional charging accessory.) Leave home with the freedom of knowing that help is available with the push of one button. The Sky Angel 911 FD has no monthly service fees. Once the device is purchased, the user never pays to use it. There are no monthly fees and a cellular contract is not needed. Note: All Sky Angel 911 units purchased from My Home For Life will be able to operate on a 4G network.
Advanced features are available for an additional monthly fee. One of the advanced features is GPS enabling. (additional SIM card required). With GPS enabling the 911 call center can locate you (accuracy can vary based on local factors from several fee to several hundred fee), even if you're lost or can't describe the location.
